Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Retone, available at retoneai.net (the “Service”), operated by Nimbus Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using Retone, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

Retone is an AI-powered text rewriting tool. You submit text, choose a tone (and, on paid plans, a language), and the Service generates a rewritten version of that text. The Service is provided over the internet and may change as we improve features, availability, and performance.

3. Free Tier and Paid Subscription

The Service offers a free tier that allows up to 5 rewrites per day. Free-tier features and limits may change from time to time.

Retone Pro is a paid subscription at USD 8 per month. Pro includes additional features such as unlimited rewrites and additional language options, as described on the checkout page. You may cancel at any time. After cancellation, access to Pro remains active until the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are also subject to that processor’s terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Submit, generate, or request illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service, including automated scraping, excessive requests, or attempts to bypass rate limits
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as permitted by law
• Misrepresent the origin of generated text in a way that is deceptive or unlawful

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or abused the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the text you submit and of the rewritten output generated for you, to the extent permitted by applicable law. You grant Nimbus Labs a limited license to process that text solely to provide the Service.

Nimbus Labs and its licensors own the Service itself, including the Retone name, website, software, design, and related intellectual property. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the Service to you.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Rewritten text is generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will meet your requirements. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nimbus Labs and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim, or USD 8, whichever is greater.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Brazil will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, except where applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
